Programmable Order-Forms

Medical Logic Modules (MLMs) can be triggered, or called from Order or Task forms. The triggered clinical-rules can enforce data validity-checks, and perform look-ups and calculations to populate the form-fields.

An MLM can be called from any field on an Order or Task form, or called when the form is opened or closed. MLMs can be used to set the values and attributes of the fields on the form, such as whether the field will be mandatory or optional. MLMs can also be programmed to present a message-box to the user warning them of requirements in the order-entry process.

Directing Actions on Alerts

The Alert-Dialogue can now be programmed to present end-users with actions to resolve order omissions and conflicts.  Example options are:

·          DC/cancel or Suspend conflicting orders

·          Delete or Modify conflicting orders that have yet to be submitted

·          Present the Provider with additional orders that should be placed
